Sometimes it is fun to dream about the luxurious and lavish vacations celebrities and wealthy people enjoy. While many of us may not be able to afford some of these pricey getaways, it is fun to live vicariously through the wealthy. Here are the top 5 vacation destinations the rich and famous love.

1. Bora Bora in French Polynesia is a must see spot for many wealthy travelers. The crowd is youthful, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. This island is extremely remote, allowing celebrities to truly lay back and get away from it all. It is also a hot and popular destination for many honeymooners. It is common to see a variety of celebrities when traveling to Bora Bora on a regular basis. Bloody Mary’s Bar and Restaurant is a great spot where the rich and famous love to visit to dine and relax.
2. Lake Como, in Italy has become increasingly popular in the past few years. This sudden popularity has a lot to do with actor George Clooney, who absolutely loves the area in the Lombardy region of France. He lives in a huge, fantastic villa right on the water of Lake Como. Because of Clooney’s influence, many Hollywood celebrities now flock to this area. Even though the area is somewhat new to Hollywood, Europe’s most elite and wealthy have been vacationing and even living at Lake Como full time for many years.
3. St. Tropez, France is another top-notch vacation spot for travelers with lots of money to spend. St. Tropez has been a hot spot for the wealthy over a long period of time and caters to Europe’s most elite. This location is absolutely gorgeous and it looks picture perfect. St. Tropez has a timeless beauty, boasting pristine beaches, out of this world hotel accommodations, and water littered with expensive yachts. Celebrities and the wealthy flock to this vacation spot regularly for the glamour and prestige.
4. Saint Bathelemy, called “Saint Bart’s” for short, is located in the Caribbean. This destination has been a popular spot for wealthy individuals for a while, however in recent years the number of Hollywood and American celebrities who travel here has escalated significantly. This is a top of the line destination with a classic island feel. “Saint Bart’s” is now a very trendy spot where the rich flock every year and celebrity sightings are more and more common.
5. Aspen, Colorado is a ski resort vacation spot of the rich and famous that doesn’t quite blend with the rest of this list. This location is full of old money and has a classic mountain feel. Most travelers of high class choose to ski in Aspen because of the fantastic skiing conditions and fantastic mountain views. It was once a small Rocky Mountain village, but Aspen has quickly become a ritzy spot for the rich with various resorts, condos and even lavish homes scattered near the mountains.

While average folks may vacation in Florida and see St Augustine attractions, the rich and famous enjoy lavish, over the top vacations in some of the worlds most sought after locations. Wealthy and famous individuals travel the world to places like Aspen in Colorado, St. Bart’s, or Lake Como to get away from it all and experience breathtaking sights and attractions. We may not be able to travel there just yet, but we can dream!
